This page tells about getting started on multiplayer gaming against other human players with Cath'thir server

Before you join

Before you try join to Cath'thir multiplayer games, please try the game in single player mode, so you know the game.

Single player game doesn't require registering, just downlaod the cath'thir client and start single player game.

Single player game of the game is not same than multiplayer games even the rules of the games are same. The real difference is diplomacy and politic, in single player game there is no other human opponents, but in multiplayer games there every nation has human player in control.

Step by step to multiplayer gaming

Download and register

Download and install cath'thir-client.

Register with cath'thir-client to cath'thir server. (Server -> Register an account in order to play).

Receive a password

After you have registered, you should receive an email containing your password, sent to your the email address you provided. Usually this takes only under minute but in some rare cases it might take even long as a day. Once you receive your password, enter it along with your username in the top left of main screen of the Cath'thir-Client.

Join a new game

Join a new game with Cath'thir-Client (Server -> Join a new game), Select your favorite Nations in the order and your game style (Three turns per week or Seven turns per week) If you want to know, how Nations are given to players, please read the text

When the game really starts?

When your game starts, you will be informed by email. After you receive the email of starting game, you can Download your first gamefile. Japan mod game needs always 8 human players into to join the same game, thatīs why the game does not start until there are full 8 human players joined to it..

Server stats

Server stats tells how many players are currently joined into new game (Server -> Server stats with Cath'thir-Client).

Gaming

In the multiplayer games, even if you have done well in single player games against AI, the most difficult thing in the multiplayer games is the diplomacy with other human players.

Sometimes it takes many games until new player can even survive in the game.
